Welcome to Oakwood

Here at Oakwood we have been involved with breeding animals since 2015, and have since expanded our knowledge on all things canine. Located in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, our dogs are given a variety of stimulation with weekly hikes and daily walks through our small town. We combined our love of the well rounded family pet that is the American Bully with our passion to challenge and show case the classic German Shepherd. Our love for both breeds shines strong in our dogs and our puppies. Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our animals from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond. All of our dogs live in the home with us and are exposed to children and a variety of animals. Our puppies are raised on puppy culture, and begin basic training at four weeks old. We health test our dogs and only breed to top quality dogs. We take our puppies to visit the vet, not only for shots but to have positive experiences in the office. With the help of our trusted vet, we are able to determine a puppy’s likelihood to exceed at sports, show or work. We have produced a select handful of German shepherds who have excelled in their training towards service work as well as IPO.
